Mammut's whey protein is a high-quality whey protein powder for making a protein shake. The whey protein it contains is tailored to the basic needs of an athlete. A shake contains 27g of protein. Protein is an important basic building block in the body, the total population of which is approx. Make up 15-17% of body mass. It serves as a building material for the increase and maintenance of musculature and the maintenance of normal bones.
The mammoth whey protein has a naturally high proportion of BCAA. A short time after eating a mammoth whey protein, the amino acid level in the blood increases, so it is particularly suitable before and after training. Because a high amino acid content in the blood leads to a better supply of the muscles before or after training. The abbreviation BCAA stands for the English name "branched chain amino acids", in German branched chain amino acids. They include L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine. The BCAA contained in the whey protein are three of the 8 essential amino acids that must be provided to our body from food, as it is not able to form it itself.
Mammut recommends mixing 25g of whey protein with 300 ml of low-fat milk (1.5%). A good time to absorb protein is right after training, because strength training in particular stimulates the muscular protein synthesis. The whey protein is also suitable as a snack.
